Cosmos goes live on Stake DAO

We are excited to announce that Cosmos (ATOM) staking is now live on Stake DAO.

Users can now earn staking rewards by delegating their ATOM to help secure the Cosmos network.

What is Cosmos?

The Cosmos blockchain is a network of parallel, independent blockchains powered by Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus algorithms like Tendermint.

You can now stake ATOM through https://cosmos.stakedao.org to earn rewards - Current APY 9.93%.

To delegate ATOM on Stake DAO using a Keplr wallet, please follow the tutorial below.

How to delegate your ATOM through Stake DAO.

Before you start:

Verify that you are running the latest software for your wallet.
Ensure that you have funded your wallet with ATOM.
Head over to https://cosmos.stakedao.org.

Step 1. Connect your wallet

Click Connect with Keplr Wallet and confirm the action via the Keplr wallet popup.

Step 2. Select your account and delegate

You will see this tab after you connect which will provide an account overview. On this tab you can see your wallet balance, staked balance and pending rewards.

Now click on the Delegate tab.

On this tab you can choose the number of ATOMs you want to delegate. Once you have entered the desired amount click Delegate.

Now you will see the details of your delegation in the Keplr wallet popup. Before continuing, verify that all operation details are correct. If they seem correct click Approve.

Congratulations, your ATOM’s are now delegated to our validator and will start earning rewards! You can view the details of your account via the Account tab.

The delegation operation is signed and broadcasted to the network for confirmation. You should start earning rewards immediately.

FAQ

Is there any unbonding period when I stake?

There is a 21-day unbonding process for staked ATOMs during which delegator ATOMs do not earn rewards and cannot be transferred, exchanged or spent. ATOMs can, however, be slashed during the unbonding period.

How long does it take to delegate and to start earning rewards after delegating?

Delegating and rewards are effective immediately.

How do I check my rewards?

You can check your real-time rewards using the ‘account’ tab at https://cosmos.stakedao.org
